ScriptPro+ has a rich history within the CAD community. It was initially written as a “Plugin of the Month” over a decade ago by Virupaksha (Viru) Aithal. I later expanded its accessibility by creating an MSI installer using the open-source WiX toolset (available here).
The Push for Modernization
Starting with AutoCAD 2025, AutoCAD migrated to a modern .NET platform. This shift sparked a wave of requests to upgrade ScriptPro+, which was still running on an older legacy framework.
Knowing how heavily the community relies on this essential automation workhorse, we got to work. Between January and February 2026, we successfully migrated ScriptPro+ to the new .NET ecosystem.
A Community Milestone
Recently, we reached an exciting milestone: our very first public contribution to the new codebase!
This community involvement inspired us to officially announce the modernized ScriptPro+ on our blog today. By bringing this tool into the spotlight, we hope to invite more contributors to help ScriptPro+ evolve and thrive.
