Webinar Series

Update:  The webinar is over, but you can go here for all the recordings.

Coming in January, I will be presenting a webinar series on Vault 2011 API programming.  The format will consist of case studies on some of the sample applications available on this blog.

Case Study Speaker Date Registration
Effective Folder Permissions Doug Redmond January 12th Completed
Recycle Bin Doug Redmond January 19th Completed
Watch Folder Doug Redmond January 25th Completed

In each of the sessions, I will explain what the app is, how it works, what went right, and what went wrong.  You do not need to have prior knowledge of the application.

However, you do need to have programming knowledge.  The sessions will be highly technical, so expect to see lots of source code.  C# or VB.NET experience is preferred.

The link above is for a problem I’m seeing where a spreadsheet is driving an assembly & just checking in & out updates the vault version eventhough no design changes have been made – tick these boxes changes this behaviour & I can’t find an explanation of what they do.
    Thanks

  2. Apologies for abusing this comment option for tech support!

  3. Correct, these comments are not the preferred mechanism for tech support. Also, your issue doesn’t seem to have anything to do with custom Vault programming, so it’s not a good fit for this blog.
Lastly, I don’t know much about how the check-out dialog works, so I honestly don’t know the answer to your issue.
Sorry that I couldn’t have been more help. You might want to try posting to the newsgroup again. Sometimes a second post works.
