Shalini Ramesh

Shalini Ramesh is an intern at Autodesk. She works as Developer Evangelist at Developer Technical Services/Cloud Platform group. She is experimenting with cloud-based products API, such as Infraworks 360, BIM 360 and GBS, and making integration samples.
Shalini is a PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University in the Building Performance and Diagnostics program. She received her Bachelors degree in Architecture from India and Master of landscape Architecture from Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech). Her research focuses on Urban Energy Modeling, studying the effects of urban heat islands with the application of Building information modeling (BIM) and geographical information systems (GIS). Presently, Shalini is working on building an interactive web based platform to communicate building simulation results on an urban scale using Autodesk REVIT, GBS, BIM 360 Glue and energy analysis technologies. In the past, she has worked on the Energy Efficient Hub (EEB) project on building the energy model for building 661. Her research on Urban Energy Information Modeling was presented at the EnTool Symposium in Germany in June 2013. She is a recipient of the Steinbrenner Fellowship for the academic year 2012-2013 and is part of the Steinbrenner Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. She is also a teaching assistant for the Building Performance and Modeling course which is headed by Professor Khee Poh Lam.
